Welcome to the Piano Waterhole

"The indefatigable pursuit of an unattainable perfection, even though it consists in nothing more than the pounding of an old piano, is what alone gives meaning to our life on this unavailing star"

Logan Perasall Smith

Fellow musicians Internationally understand the music language. It always amazes me how the dots and strokes written between lines and spaces has influenced our world through patriotic emotions of belonging, roused our desire for love, comforts us in our pain of grief and despair, allows us to revisit our most sentimental memories with the touch of the keys on an old familiar song and inspires joy that the most melancholy mood will erupt to toe tapping with the sound of a rhythmic song.

Piano lessons are the first step of being the creator of these wonderful emotions for yourself and others to experience.

The piano is an instrument that takes years to master yet minutes to enjoy. Often times while sitting at the piano working through the challenge and loneliness of a piano lesson you can often feel like you are alone in the desert. As the Australian Aborigines well know, the survival in the desert depends on the knowledge of the waterhole. A waterhole fed consistently with rainwater and an underground water basin provides a sanctuary for those that are thirsty.

I have had a dream of creating a waterhole to be filled by fellow musicians. Paying forward the gift of music through music information, performance and encouragement with unlikely fellow pianist around the world gathering to share at the waterhole.

Whether you are new to piano and will "rain" questions or experienced musicians that run deep with a basin of underground knowledge. You are welcome to drink at the Piano Waterhole.com.
